3. GOLF RESORTS AND MASTER-PLANNED RESIDENTIAL GOLF COMMUNITIES
In order to create a "golf destination" and integrated leisure resort with residential real estate (such master-planned residential resorts have yet be developed in Greece), one needs to integrate a number of leisure, real estate and hospitality components within the same complex, such as one, two or three golf course(s), a luxury four- or five-star hotel or boutique hotel, second homes (villas, townhouses and apartments to be marketed and sold domestically and abroad), a country club with all the required amenities, a tennis camp, conference centre, health club, driving range, spa, etc. It is our opinion that the average land requirements for such a development will need to be two million square metres (200 hectares, 494 acres or 2.000 "Greek stremmata").
